Beauty of Kids
I always thought charity work required tons and tons of money until this year, this month (June) to be exact. It all started in the month of May where I always get excited about my upcoming birthday month (13 June). The gifts, dinners, celebrations and unlimited surprises. It hit me right there, instead of receiving gifts and celebrations, why don't I ask my friends to get me school shoes and socks for a specific school of my choice. The "NgwanaBuruthu" project was born right there.
I started notifying my friends that for my birthday celebrations that's all I need but by then I haven't identified a needy school. I asked a good mento of a friend of mine to help me, she helped me identify Khothalo PS which I felt needed more help. No kid deserve to go to school bare foot and all, all kids need the love, care and warmth.
I at first assumed the max will be 50, nothing more but when I got the number from the school, shock and cold chills ran through my spine. I then reached out to people, everyone that was able to help. Our target is 757 school shoes for both girls and boys and we will reach that target, nothing is going to defeat that.
I believe it is very difficult for all of who are going to see the smiles on the little angels faces as we give them a reason to go to school and play around the fields, not hide around.
As Ngwana Buruthu, we say let us touch one life and the cycle shall surely continue.
Much love to the humble people of South Africa, all in the name of humanity.
